Margo is learning English!

Margo is 17 years old and in her first year of lower secondary school in Rwanda.  Margo lives with her two brothers and three sisters in the Gashora sector, an impoverished area of Rwanda which was hit hard by the genocide.

Because the Rwandan schooling system recently switched to English-based classes, students need to improve their English skills in order to succeed academically. English skills are also critical in order to succeed on the national exam, which determines entrance into upper secondary school. Few students from Gashora have the opportunity to move to upper secondary school. But thanks to your donation, Margo is attending intensive English classes!

In her free time Margo likes to dance. Her favorite subject in school is English and she loves coming to class to practice her speaking and writing.  She hopes to someday work in agriculture. Thank you for your support.  Margo will now have the English skills that she needs to succeed in school and in life!
