Joselyne wants to be a scientist!

DSC_0195
Dear Brant,

Joselyne is 18 years old and in her second year of lower secondary school in Rwanda.  Joselyne lives with her brother and three sisters in the Gashora sector, an impoverished area of Rwanda which was hit hard by the genocide.

Because the Rwandan schooling system recently switched to English-based classes, students need to improve their English skills in order to succeed academically. English skills are also critical in order to succeed on the national exam, which determines entrance into upper secondary school. Few students from Gashora have the opportunity to move to upper secondary school. But thanks to your donation, Joselyne is attending intensive English classes!

In her free time Joselyne likes to play and dance. Her favorite subject in school is English and she loves coming to class to practice her speech and learn through games.  She hopes to some day be a scientist. Thank you for your support. Joselyne will now have the English skills that she needs to succeed in school and in life!
