Thanks for supporting Joyce’s English Classes

P1000465
Dear Shelley,

Joyce is 16 years old and lives in rural Rwanda with her brother and six sisters. Joyce recently started her second year of lower secondary school. In her free time Joyce likes to study, play, pray, and dance. Her favorite subject in school is English, and she is currently learning about passive voice. Thanks to your donation, Joyce is attending intensive English classes on Saturdays and Sundays this fall!

Joyce is from the Gashora sector – an impoverished area of Rwanda which was hit hard by the genocide. As Rwandan schooling system has recently switched to English-based classes, students must improve their English skills in order to succeed academically. Unfortunately, few students from Gashora have the opportunity to move on to upper secondary school, which require strong English skills and test results.

Thanks to your support, she will have the English skills needed to succeed in school and in life! Shelley, you have truly made a difference in Joyce’s life!
