Aline wants to be a doctor!

Aline
Dear Kimberly,

Thanks to your donation, Aline is attending intensive English classes on Saturdays and Sundays this fall. Aline is 15 years old and in her first year of lower secondary school in Rwanda. She has one brother and three sisters.

Because the Rwandan schooling system has recently switched to English-based classes, students must improve their English skills in order to succeed academically. Aline is from the Gashora sector – an impoverished area of Rwanda which was hit hard by the genocide. Few students from Gashora have the opportunity to move on to upper secondary school. English skills are critical in order to succeed on the national exam which determines entrance into upper secondary school.

In her free time, Aline likes to read.  She is eagerly practicing her verbal and written language skills, so that she can excel on her exams and in life.  She hopes to be a doctor one day. Thanks Kimberly, for your support of Aline!
