Thanks for helping Hope to improve her English skills. Thanks to your donation, Hope is attending intensive English classes on Saturdays and Sundays this fall. Hope is in her first year of lower secondary school in Rwanda.
Hope is from the Gashora sector – an impoverished area of Rwanda which was hit hard by the genocide. She lives with her family which includes 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Few students from Gashora have the opportunity to move on to upper secondary school.
She aspires to become either a nurse or a police officer for her profession. Because the Rwandan schooling system has recently switched to English-based classes, she must catch up in her English skills in order to succeed in her academics and career. In two years, she will take the English-based national exam which determines her entrance into upper secondary school.
Hope is eagerly practicing her verbal and written language skills, so that she can excel on her exams and in life. Her favorite subject in school is biology, which will be important as she goes on to study nursing.
Thanks Margo for helping Hope with her studies!
