  • In Rwanda, 97% of girls go to primary school, but less than 13% attend upper-secondary school.
  • RGI will educate and empower girls in Rwanda through building and operating a boarding school for 270 girls.
  • An educated girl increases her earning power by 15-20% and reinvests in her family and community.

Rwanda Girls Initiative is a US-based 501(c)(3) organization developing a new model for investing in the education of girls in Rwanda. The RGI Washington office will oversee the distribution of your donation.

Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology in Rwanda provides an incredible secondary education, transforming the brightest young girls to be leaders for tomorrow. A boarding school for 270 girls, the academy will graduate exemplary young woman who will be well prepared to succeed in their advanced studies and in their future vocations and who will contribute in important ways to the growth of their communities and their nation.
